Familiar Faces

Familiar Faces is a photography project that explores my being through self-portraiture. Familiar Faces started from combatting some mental health issues by creating a self-portrait each day for a month. I started to realize that I was exploring different qualities of myself that I've repressed, such as my disability, flamboyancy, and gender. I gave a platform for my repressed qualities to express themselves. To me, it helped me redefine what self-love and empowerment are and how to curate it to my needs. With this project, I am hoping to inspire other people to explore and empower familiar qualities of themselves that have been neglected.
